Alex Feher and Rob Irving, Founders of the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific, launched in 2015 by their company, Impact Asia Pacific Pty Ltd (IAP), have announced that their equity partner and leading event producer, The Intermedia Group (TIG) has acquired the business.
Commenting on this development Co-Founder, Alex Feher, said: “This has been such a pursuit of passion and purpose for both Rob and me. Ever since we agreed over a coffee in 2014 that our world needed an event to build a community intent on shifting capital for good of people and the planet. This was the inspiration for convening the first Impact Investment Summit in 2015.
“Kerry Series, significant shareholder of TIG and CIO & Founder, NorthStar Impact Funds, will continue to play a leading role in the Summit going forward. We are confident their custodianship of this key event in the ecosystem will continue to drive the vision of catalysing impact capital we had from day 1.
“It’s been a 9 year journey for the two of us with 8 Impact Investment Summits, countless webinars during Covid and even a Gender Lens Summit in that brief window in-between lockdowns. We have met the great leaders in Impact from across the world and have had the privilege of working for many years with our eminent Advisory Board, whose generosity and willingness to collaborate over such a long period of time is a key part of the DNA of this ‘Mainstreaming Impact’ event”.
Commenting on the acquisition, Kerry Series, said: “I have always loved attending the Summit as it brings together an amazing group of people with common goals to address social and environmental challenges. Rob, Alex and the team have grown the Summit into a must attend event for impact investors since 2015 and we are honoured to take it on and look to build on their success.”
